Chapter 27

Healed

It had been a long morning. Longer than Hitoshi would have liked to admit as he sat out in the waiting room of the medical clinic. It had started early, the two alphas having to arrive thirty minutes before the appointment on top of the hour-long tram ride. Both were buzzing with energy, though Katsuki’s was more because of nerves rather than Hitoshi’s excitement toward the appointment.

The journey over had been chilly, the crisp air clearing their lungs and pushing their yawns away. It was refreshing to get outside that early, something that the insomniac was learning to appreciate more and more the longer he was around his boyfriend.

Even now as he slouched low in his chair with eyes set on the TV that was mounted in the top counter of the room, he still had that buzz coursing through his veins as he waited. The world was much slower than other days; the peacefulness leaving plenty of room for him just to sit and experience how normal daylight dwellers lived.

It had been a jittery couple hours for Hitoshi’s blonde boyfriend. The alpha was able to sense the moment they woke up how nervous Katsuki was. No doubt the man was dealing with so many negative thoughts and what ifs.

It had been hard for the insomniac to navigate. There wasn’t much he could do besides resting a hand on the blonde’s knee whenever it glittered in place, or gently grab Katsuki’s hand to help him not chew his nails off. He had even tried to point something out from time to time in an attempt to bring the other some kind of distraction, though it only worked for a few minutes.

Hitoshi’s efforts seemed to have worked for the most part until the doctor had rested his hand over Katsuki’s face. The fear was palpable as the blonde hero held his breath, holding himself as still as possible on top of the small medical bed. The veins under tanned skin thickened and protruded as the doctor’s quirk did its work, the movement fascinated the insomniac as he watched from the other side of the room.

Hitoshi knew, the moment the doctor removed his hands and allowed Katsuki to open his eyes, that there were only two ways this would go. The blonde could open his eyes and have almost regenerated vision to what it had been before the incident, or Katsuki would open his eyes and the damage would have been too far gone for the doctor to salvage.

And when the doctor stepped away Hitoshi’s heart fell to his stomach as those beautiful eyes opened and looked right at him. Those red eyes still didn’t match; one still cloudy around the iris and pupil with red splotches on the white parts.

The doctor walked away, grabbing a sanitizing rag to wipe his hands before speaking.  “From where we started today, this is the best I can do.” He whispered, obviously knowing the weight his words had. “I’m sorry, Dynamite. My quirk cannot reverse any of the damage, I could only speed up the healing and increase the white blood cells to the area to help break down scar tissue. Unfortunately this is most likely the best I can do for you at this time.”

Katsuki just nodded, not saying a word as he dropped his gaze away from anyone in the room. He furrowed his brows, hands clenching as they shook slightly. Hitoshi thanked the doctor in an attempt to get him to excuse himself; wanting to give his boyfriend as much time to process without having to bury it down.

Hitoshi honestly saw a huge improvement from what he could see. The large claw marks running down Katsuki’s face weren’t as deep or wide, the skin a pinkish white as the area seemed to still be settling into its fully healed state. Even Katsuki’s right eye was no longer a bright red with purple jagged edges, it was smooth now. The skin of his eyes lid was fully healed, though still had that light pink hue. The healing had made Katsuki look amazing from what it had been; the doctor had done amazing work with how far the damage had already set in.

Hitoshi hadn’t expected for Katsuki to ask for some privacy from him though. It broke his heart, the insomniac could see the pain that was starting to settle over his boyfriend's shoulders as he now only stared down at his hands.

It had been thirty minutes since Hitoshi had left Katsuki alone. The wait too long for the blonde alpha to just be sitting by himself in the room. Too long for anyone to deal with such heavy emotions without a safety net to fall back on. But Hitoshi knew how much the blonde needed the space, how Katsuki needed time to understand what was happening and how to feel about it.

“Mr. Shinsou?” A young woman behind the desk called to draw his attention; her voice soft so as to not disturb the other people in the waiting area. The alpha got up, nodding his head as he made his way over to the front desk.

“Mr. Bakugo is done, you can now head back there if you wish.” She said, a gentle smile behind the paper mask she wore.

Hitoshi only nodded before walking down the hallway toward the door he had left his boyfriend in. He had originally left per Katsuki’s request, though he really didn’t want to. He had left the blonde in a precarious state; one that the insomniac alpha didn’t know what would await him on the other side of the door.

The insomniac knocked on the door lightly before he entered. He hesitated just inside the doorway, as the heavy atmosphere in the room fell upon him. The pheromones were so thick as Katsuki stood and walked toward the other. He pulled his boyfriend into the room and closed the door, pausing in his place once the door clicked closed. Hitoshi waited, not moving as he watched the blonde squeeze the door handle he still held tightly.

“I-“ Katsuki began. His voice was heavy, thick with sadness. “I can see, but everything's still so blurry. I can’t read the chart on the wall.” He finally finished.

Hitoshi looked over at the small poster, the alphabet written out in a random order. From where the bed was positioned in the room, it really wasn’t that far from the chart.

The blonde looked up at the other, his eyes brimmed with tears. “What- I-. I don’t know what to do.” He croaked out, his voice throbbing as a sob fell through his words.

Hitoshi grabbed the blonde and pulled him into his chest, one large hand holding the back of Katsuki’s neck while the other hand ran up and down the alpha’s back. “Shh,” Hitoshi hushed, wanting desperately to ease the obvious pain his partner was in. He directed the blonde toward his scent gland, having the man breath in his calming scent. “We will get through this, you're not done being a hero.” He whispered.

Katuski nodded, his sobs low as he tried to bury his face deeper into Hitoshi’s neck.

“So Deku is here, right?” Eri asked from her place on one of the small arm chairs.

She had her own tea cup and a small saucer filled with the small appetizers resting on the small table by her. She looked like a proper little princess to Aizawa.

The brunette omega nodded, “Yes, since he was released from the hospital.” Masaru said to the young girl, but then turned to look at the blonde beta next to him. “Though we need to talk about some things before we see him.

Yamada nodded, his attention fully on the Bakugo couple.

”Izuku has been showing some signs that we are worried about.” Masaru began, though paused as he struggled to find the right words.

Mitsuki intervened, her tone low as she continued for her mate. “He has only left his room sparingly, which is normal for rescued omegas. What we are worried about is his mental health.” She said, before clearing her throat. “We are worried that he is self sabotaging while isolating himself- though that too can be normal, Izuku is taking it to an extreme.”

“Yes,” Masaru agreed. “Izuku has only left once, the day after you dropped him off Aizawa, and it was only for twenty minutes. He dumped his food in the trash and hasn’t eaten anything since. We are worried that things are going to escalate.”

Aizawa nodded as he listened, his mind already trying to find out a way to help the young man. “How has his temperament been?” He asked.

”Good,” Masaru answered. “Though he is obviously depressed and definitely has PTSD, though neither have been diagnosed properly from what we understand.”

Mistuki stood from her chair, walking back over to the hutch to pour herself more tea. “His depression isn’t anything to brush off. He isn’t really responsive to anything we do.” She said, concern lacing every word.

Eri cocked her head to the side as she watched the adults talk. “What do you mean?” She finally asked, her voice quiet.

Mistuki turned to look at her, examining her before answering her. “He doesn’t respond to anything. He ignores us when we knock, leaves the window if he sees one of us or the gardeners waving to him from outside. He has even ignored the Katsudon I made this morning, and it smelled so good too. I’m a bit offended that he would ignore my cooking of his favorite food.” She explained to the young girl. “It’s like he has tumbed himself into that room.”

Eri grimaced with irritation. “Izuku can’t smell.” She blurted out without thinking, not happy that the Bakugo’s were expecting so much from the omega.

Masaru and Mitsuki exchanged a glance.

Eri blushed before continuing, realizing how she said that was a bit out of line for the situation. “Well, he can.” She continued quickly, her fingers figgiting together in embarrassment. “But it’s very little. From what I have experimented with, it is only if someone is right next to him and pushing their scent out a lot that he is able to sense anything.”

Mitsuki growled slowly, her hand squeezing the cup in her hand hard enough for it to shake violently. “Why weren’t we made aware of this?!” She demanded, a glare now focused on Aizawa. “No wonder he is isolating!”

The male alpha glared back. “It was in his file. Did you not read it?” he dared back. He didn’t like how the alpha was getting so rowdy with his mate in the room, her temperament setting off his protective instincts.

Mitsuki laughed, though it was more of a bark. “Of course I read the damn file. I am very competent with my job, Shoto.” She seethed, her face bubbling red in her anger.

The cup in her hand slammed down onto the side table by her before she stormed off from the room with a growl. Masaru stood, hands up in front of him as he tried to find a way to settle the sudden shift between the alpha’s.

“We have done all that was-“ Masaru started before he was interrupted.

”More than that, we go above and beyond what the protocol outlines.” Mitsuki yelled, stomping back into the room to slam a file folder down in front of Aizawa. “We have done what we thought was best for Izuku- and let me tell you, it has been far better than whatever bullshit has been set up for him!”

Aizawa grabbed the file, opening it up and skimming the papers inside. The Omega’s history was short as expected for a kidnapped teen who hadn't been seen for many years. What surprised the alpha though was that an entire portion of Midoriya’s medical file was missing.

”Hizashi.” He called. His mate perked up and walked toward Aizawa as he kept skimming through the papers.

The blonde quickly made his way to where Aizawa was. He peered over the alpha’s shoulder, reading a bit before grabbing the entire file from his mate’s hands. He took a step back, flipping from page to page as if trying to find something.

”Where is-“ Hizashi rushed, panic overtaking his voice as he went through the pages again.

”Not there.” Aizawa answered his mate. He stared at the Bakugos before him. “They don’t have majority of Midoriya’s medical file.” He finally said.

Masaru furrowed his brow and looked up at his mate. “It’s in there, I saw-“

“That is only a tiny portion of what is actually under Midoriya’s records.” Aizawa sighed. He leaned back into his chair as the beginnings of a headache started to form.

Yamada nodded and walked over to the omega, file in hand. “Izuku’s medical file is extensive.” He said, handing the paperwork to the brunette before continuing. “He has five pages for just the analysis of the scars that he has. Another two for the MRI that was taken when he was sedated...”

The blonde stopped and turned to his mate. “It is required for any safe house to have the entire medical history in case of emergency.”

“Then why don’t we have it.” Mitsuki bit out, though her tone was no longer directed toward anyone specifically. “This isn’t a slip up, someone had to have altered federal records before sending them to me.”

The four adults sat in silence, each one stuck in their own head. It was evident that there was a larger conspiracy starting to form among them without any words being exchanged.

Aizawa finally broke the internal development with a loud groan. “Whoever is behind this obviously doesn’t want anyone to know the full extent of Midoriya’s medical state.”

Yamada shook his head as if in disbelief despite the evidence before him. “Did we only have access to the original file because of the call you made, Shota? I was given clearance by the Commission to access the hospital database though...”

“So whatever this is,” Mitsuki hissed out, hand motioning to the forgotten file now on the center coffee table, “Hasn’t been infiltrated by someone high up the ladder then. So we know they don’t have as much power as they probably want, which is a blessing for us.”

The other three nodded as Eri just absorbed everything that was being said. She kept quiet not wanting to interrupt. It was unlikely that they would actually want her to hear all of this, but she felt a need to protect Izuku just as much as them. It was her duty to protect him too, so she needed all the information she could gather.

“Has any nurse or medical service made contact with you?” Aizawa suddenly asked the Bakugos.

Masaru shook his head. “Not yet, but we did get a call from the Hospital that Izuku’s bloodwork came back clear.” He informed the alpha.

Yamada looked at his mate with a crooked eyebrow. “That’s a surprise.”

Aizawa hummed at that, his own eyebrows furrowing like he was deep in thought.

“I’m assuming that would be because of my brat.” Mitsuki interjected, a knowing glint in her eye. “Correct?”

“Ya. It is strange that he had issues getting testing done, but the same hospital had no issue with Midoriya’s.” Aizawa continued in confusion. “Why would his blood work be needed?”

”Maybe they want to make sure Izuku is still healthy, or at least confirm what they can about his health.” Masaru suggested.

It wasn’t a bad hypothesis. Overhaul was obsessed with Izuku and Eri for whatever reason and could possibly want to confirm that the omega wasn’t hurt. But that didn’t fit right for the underground hero, especially since nothing had been altered with Eri’s file.

So that idea didn’t entirely go along with how Overhaul. That villain would have probably done the same with Eri’s if that was the case. Only changing one indicated that there was more to it.

“I don’t think it’s as pleasant as that unfortunately.” The male alpha spoke, his voice solemn. “The villian that enslaved Midoriya wouldn’t be that concerned with his health and not express  the same for Eri.”

Yamada agreed. “Her’s wasn’t touched, at least not in any ways that I was able to notice. I still have clearance, I will double check.” He said, though now more to himself.

“If anything,” Aizawa continued, give his mate a soft smile before turning his attention back to the couple. “Overhaul may have just wanted to know what condition Midoriya is in so that he can plan how to adjust him when needed. I wonder if he has done something to Midoriya that he would be worried about us finding.”

Masaru opened his mouth, horrified. “He can change people?”

Eri couldn’t stay silent any longer. If anyone knew, it was her. She didn’t have to speculate or read a stupid piece of paper to know what Overhaul's quirk did. She had lived it, Deku had lived it. So many years where they had to live at the hands of a man that could take them apart and put them back together as he liked.

“He doesn’t change people.” Eri bit out, her voice loud and angry as she looked at each adult. “Master Chisaki recreates. He can alter and restore as much as he wants. It doesn’t have any limit, he can make you die and live all within one second. He can remove a heart and put a different one in, dissolve the food in your stomach  and turn blood into water to see what happens. He doesn’t just change people, he destroys them.”

Eri was standing now, her fist clenched with anger. She hated that man, hated the one person she was terrified of. There was nothing any of them could do if Chisaki decided he wanted her and Izuku back. He was a god, the only person that could truly create his own reality.

“Hey,” A soft voice called to her.

Eri blinked, not realizing that she had tears streaming down her face. She looked at the woman in front of her, blood red eyes soft and they looked back into her own.

“All this is overwhelming, huh.” Mitsuki whispered, her hands wrapping around Eri’s and softly making them open and relax. “Why don’t we take a break from this talk? Let’s see Izuku.”

Eri waited patiently as Masaru left to retrieve the other omega from his room. Her body felt like a live wire as she waited. Her legs bounced as she sat, hands fisting the fabric of her pants with eyes focused on the doorway to the room. She tried to keep her nerves to herself, trying her hardest to compose herself as the three adults were still in the room.

“Eri?” Aizawa asked, the alpha suddenly next to her and kneeling by the arm of the chair. “He will be okay. I promise that.” He said, trying to calm her after the heavy conversation the young girl witnessed.

He was mentally kicking himself for over looking her during the discussion. The girl had basically become a shadow, so quiet that he had completely forgotten her presence during the whole ordeal. It couldn’t be healthy for a child with trauma such as her’s to hear the things they had been said. Especially when it involved someone that she loved and obviously was protective of.

”You cannot promise that.” Eri whispered, her gaze still set on the doorway. “Master Chisaki is smarter than you.”

Dark eyes widened at the words, the male alpha pulling back at the blatant insult with shock. “I’m sure he is, but we have a team of people that will do everything they can to keep the two of you safe.” He tried again.

Eri finally looked at the man, her gaze hard. “Do you really think that Master wouldn’t have gotten a team of his own together too?” Her voice was low, a growl resonating in her chest as her stare turned to a glare. “You just spoke of someone changing Deku’s paperwork. Master has had weeks to figure all of this out, while you have done nothing. Don’t speak to me as a child, I’m not. I have learned how to survive and spot lies. And you, sir, are lying right now.”

Mitsuki laughed, the sudden sound interrupting the intense interaction. “She’s a smart kid, Aizawa.” She said, her smile wide as she looked at the girl. “Don’t coddle her. She knows more than we do when it comes to this. I hate to say it, but she could be what we need to stay ahead of all of this. At least until Izuku has gotten the help he needs.”

Aizawa shook his head and stood. “She is a child, Eri doesn’t need to be dragged into this.”

”I am already in this. Have been since I was a baby.” Eri spoke, her confidence rolling off of her now that Mrs Bakugo supported her. She gritted her teeth as she continued. “I don’t have a choice, and Deku doesn’t either.”

Yamada stood up, his face drawn up in a sad panic as he looked at the girl and then at the female alpha. “Mistuki, I don’t think that this is the time to discuss this. It’s a bit inappropriate.”

The female snorted, “Too late for that.” She said with a shrug. “Trust me, if she is anything like Katsuki- which she is reminding me a hell of a lot of- you don’t want to bar her from this. Not right now, not when things are still up in the air.”

Aizawa analyzed the little girl before him, thinking of what the other alpha had said. He and his mate had unexpectedly become attached to her so quickly. His instincts were screaming for him to protect the child like she was his own, to shield her away from the horrible parts of the world.

It was irritating to see Eri speak so clearly against what he was instinctively trying to do. It was so confusing for the alpha, a feeling that he hadn’t ever felt before driving his instincts to act without much thought. That alone made it very apparent that he was too close to this to make any kind of judgment call rationally.

“Eri,” Aizawa sighed, running a hand over his face to try and calm himself. “Let the adults deal with this for now, okay? We will talk about it later and decide what will be best.”

Eri scowled at the man, her shoulder’s square as she readied herself to argue, but a shuffle from the doorway drew everyone’s attention. The young girl, being more than willing to ignore the man, turned when she saw green hair come into view.

Eri couldn’t stop herself, her body moving across the room. She grabbed onto the omega the moment she could, shoving her face into his shirt and inhaling deeply.

Izuku stumbled back in surprise, not expecting the sudden coalition. He looked down in shock, hands reaching out in confusion as he recognized the girl. “Eri?” He whispered, his tired eyes filling with tears. The omega collapsed to the ground, dragging the girl with him as he wrapped her in a tight hug. “Eri!”

The girl cried, her worries and nerves crashing and turning into happiness as she finally saw the only person that she loved. She had feared, deep down, that she would never see Izuku again. That day when she ran away from Master Chisaki and Izuku, defying her own instincts to the desperate hope that the omega could last long enough for her to retrieve help.

To finally touch Izuku, hold him close, smell his rich scent was everything she needed to feel whole again, to finally relax for the first time. He was alive, and was here right now. There was no lie or doubt in her mind anymore.

“Eri, I-I am so happy you are safe.” Izuku kept rambling through his own sobs. His voice low and quiet as he held the girl that was like his sibling- his child- close to his chest. “You have been so strong, I’m sorry I hadn’t been there.”

”No!” Eri cried back. “Please, Izuku. You protected me! I’m sorry I left, I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”

The two continued to hold onto one another, whispering and scenting as they reunited. The four around them completely forgotten as they watched from where they stood. Yamada and Masaru had tears in their eyes, their sniffles quiet so as to not disturb the two. The scent of Pine and Cyan filling the room in a heavenly cloud that eased everyone around.

Mitsuki smiled, her lip wobbling as she turned to Aizawa. “We need to do something.” She said, her voice just a mumble.

The male nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly.

It took the two a while to move from their spot on the floor, but they finally moved to  cuddle on one of the loveseats at the back of the room. Their bodies held close to one another as they basked in the sunlight that shined through the large windows.

They had chosen the seat that was the farthest from the others, Izuku not wanting to be around the others as he talked with the girl he had missed more than anything. Their tears had slowed, though Izuku still had a few that would randomly run down his cheek.

“Have you been okay?” Eri asked, her worry evident as she held Izuku’s hand.

Izuku hummed, “Ya, as best as I can be.” He said, not truely lying as he did feel like he had been taken care of more than he had been in the last decade.

“They said you aren’t.” The girl replied, her eyes flickering to the other four. She ran her fingers along one of the scars on Izuku’s hand, playing with the skin a little as she continued. “Something has been happening. I think it’s Master.”

Izuku furrowed his brow as he watched Eri. “What have they said?”

Eri let out a large breath. “Your medical file has been changed, and they talked about someone else having stuff messed with. They think that someone is keeping tabs on you. I know Master-“

”Eri.” Izuku interrupted. “That was a long time ago, I doubt that is why Chisaki did this.” He said, trying to reassure the young girl.

Red eyes finally looked up at him, her stare targeted. “Don’t be stupid. We both know that Master is obsessed with you. He would want to know if you somehow got healed from his quirk.”

Izuku looked out to the group that were talking quietly in the middle of the room. Aizawa would randomly stare at them, the random examination keeping Izuku on edge.

”I know.” He finally said. “but I wouldn’t let anyone change what he did, not because of him but because it’s the only good thing Chisaki has ever done for me.”

Eri grumbled under her breath. “Still. He has to be paranoid that you would be healed, especially when alpha heroes are involved.”

Izuku just grunted in agreement. Alphas had a tendency of getting involved in Omegan health. An Omega’s autonomy didn’t truly belong to them.

“I still think we should plan something.” Eri said. “Master won’t let us go, not when he was so close to achieving whatever it was with his tests.”

Green eyes narrowed, Izuku hackles rising at the words. He pulled the girl closer, his omega desperate to keep the young girl safe. “That would be smart. But I don’t know where to start.” He admitted.

Eri sat up, pulling away from him suddenly. “I do.” She said, her tone solid as she stared at the omega. “We can’t rely on heroes. Not with how Master is.”

Izuku watched her. She had that look on her face, the determination that he hadn’t seen in so long. One that he wished could be focused on anything but Chisaki. “What do you have in mind?” He finally asked slowly, cautious but curious of what the girl had thought of.

Eri didn’t say anything, she just raised her hands quickly to Izuku’s face. She grabbed his cheeks, holding on despite how Izuku pulled away in surprise. She took a quick breath and allowed the warmth to flow through her fingers, her eyes closed as she concentrated.

“What?!” Izuku gasped as the girl's horn began to glow. He could feel the warmth, the way his face seemed to buzz under the skin with the familiar tendrils that flowed through him from Eri’s quirk.

“Shhh.” Eri hissed, her eyebrows creasing in effort. Izuku did, knowing it was too late to stop her. Breaking her concentration wouldn’t be good, and with the process already started he might as well let her finish.

Within a few seconds the world seemed to crash into Izuku. His mind became clouded in a way he never felt. It was like everything around him was suddenly infiltrating his mind, demanding his attention as he breathed. He gasped in pain, the overwhelming scents around him clogging his senses within an instant.

Eri sighed as she let go of the omega, her breathing a little rushed as she examined the man in front of her. Izuku fell forward, hands flying up to cover his nose.

“A-are you okay.” She asked, worried in her voice as she cradled Izuku close to her.

Izuku groaned in reply, his shoulders shaking. “Did I go too far? What is wrong?” She asked in a panic.

“I-I’m fine.” Izuku stuttered out, his breathing heavy. He stayed where he was, his hands clamped to his face in an attempt to block the scents around him. “It’s just a lot. It stings and giving me a headache.”

Eri sighed in relief, her panic settling at his answer. “Maybe….” She said, looking around for anything to help.

She paused when she noticed Aizawa looking at them, concern written on his face. She waved him over, her hand flying frantically to make sure he understood what she meant.

The alpha moved quickly until he knelt before the chair where the two were sitting. He seemed like he wanted to touch the omega, wanting to make sure Izuku was okay. Before he could ask, Eri was quick to ask him a question.

”Do you have a mask?” Her voice was shrill, obviously pitched with the rushed words. “A thick one?”

“In the car?” He answered back with a lot of confusion.

“Get it.” She demanded. She was still cradling Izuku close to her, her stance protective with every inclination for the alpha to do as she said.

Aizawa nodded, not wanting to set off the young alpha. That was the last thing that any of them needed; none of them needed to force the  pup into presenting right now because she got too riled up while protecting Midoriya.

Eri kept her body cowered over Izuku, her instincts demanding that she protect the omega that was in a vulnerable position. Her eyes flickered from person to person, her nerves live as she assessed what they were doing and surveying every moment they made.

Finally, Aizawa returned. In his hand were two black facemasks. Eri ripped them from his hand the moment the alpha was in reach, her growl making the man take a step back and give the two space.

After a second, once the girl determined that he was far enough away or didn’t pose a threat she looked down at the omega in her lap. She nudged him gently, whispering in a hushed voice as she pushed the fabric into his hand.

Izuku sat up once with the black cloth over his mouth and nose. His eyes were watering, his eyes bright red as he looked around. It seemed he was disoriented, his body trying to recalibrate to his sense of smell returning.

Masaru voiced a question, his stance worried as he watched the three. “What happened? Izuku, are you okay?” He asked.

”Ya, it’s just a lot.” He croaked.

Eri nodded, her posture far more relaxed now that Izuku seemed to be able to function more than before. “I fixed his sinuses.” she said, a proud smile on her face as she looked at the brunette omega.

The brunette gaped at the girl. “You- what?”

Yamada answered, his voice calm as he smiled brightly at the girl. “Eri can rewind anything. Her quirk is amazing, but I didn’t realize how controlled it could be.” He said, aww evident in his voice.

Eri huffed, obviously a bit put out by the unintentional insult. “I have been practicing for years. I wouldn’t have used it if I wasn’t confident I could heal Deku.”

Izuku smiled, though it was only evident from the way his eyes crinkled. “He didn’t mean it like that, Eri. And even if he did, I trust you. You have kept me alive because of your quirk over the years.”

Aizawa balked at the new information, his eyes wide as he stared at the two.

Izuku didn’t seem to notice, or didn’t seem to care as he stood with Eri’s hand in his. “I am going to my room. I can’t handle all the scents right now.” He said, not waiting for a reply as he pulled Eri after him and left the room.
