Chapter 22

Snake in the grass

Hitoshi was leaning up against the headboard, one hand nestled in blond spikes while the other held his phone close to his face as he concentrated. He had waited for Katsuki to fall asleep, which wasn’t very long, before grabbing his phone to investigate his hunch.

It had only been a few hours since then, the blonde alpha by his side sleeping away in the meantime as he researched as much as he could about the medication that was sitting on the bedside table next to them. Histoshi originally hadn’t thought anything about the prescriptions, not until Katsuki had divulged his theories. Now it was all setting off red flags in his head.

He had originally thought that Katsuki was just in a depressive lull from being away from work so long. He was known for being a workaholic even at UA; never taking sick days or holidays since it was nonsense compared to the career he had chosen. ‘Missions are our holidays, get that through your heads!’ He would yell when anyone would voice their thoughts on the vacation package their job offers had.

So it really wouldn’t be strange to see him flounder with the sudden free time. He was a busy body and a man with a mission in mind, so to have that hauled with no end in sight would be a nightmare for the alpha. He was injured and could possibly lose his ability to work if not fixed properly. So this depressive behavior was easy to sweep away and make excuses for.

Now however, Hitoshi wasn’t so sure if all of this was caused by a natural depression. He was no expert in the side effects of medication besides the over-the-counter brands for pain medication or generic antibiotics. So each search he did was a bit overwhelming with the exorbitant amount of information within each article. Nonetheless, with every page he kept studying; searching and taking mental notes of everything he read.

He knew that Katsuki had 4 separate prescriptions to help with his injuries; 3 bottles and one eye drop called Nevanac. The drops were easy to find credible sources for its use. The first two of the medications were the typical concoction that he too had been prescribed to him after his hospital visit; Percocet and Vancomycin. They were the run of the mill medications for many of the heroes to take for any prolonged injury, He himself had taken those himself in the past and was almost done taking them now. So it was understandable for Katsuki to be taking those for the state he was in.

Everything up until that point had seemed fine, and Hitoshi was beginning to feel a bit dumb for his reaction. The medications seemed legit and were prescribed for the actual purposes that Katsuki would need to heal without a healing quirk. He almost put down his phone in embarrassment at his tirade, his brain doing enough to berate him on how stupid his theories were and how it was disrespectful to think that the hospital would purposefully harm a hero.

Well, that was until Hitoshi started looking into the last bottle. He didn’t recognize the name as he looked it up. The first search didn’t make much sense, and each article after made even less than the last for it to be prescribed to the  blonde alpha.

Hydroxyzine, a drug used for its sedative and anti anxiety effects. It was prescribed with the largest dose of all the meds, the instructions stating for one dose to be taken twice daily for three weeks.

From what Hitoshi could find, it wasn’t an abnormal oral medication for a patient to take before or  directly after surgery. It helped with anxiety, nausea and was a sleep aid. What didn’t make sense however was that Katsuki hadn’t undergone surgery for his injuries. He had only been sedated long enough to stitch up his face and clean out his eye. The entire ordeal hadn’t taken much longer than thirty minutes with light numbing. Why would Katsuki need to take a sedative for Pre and Post Op when he never went under operation? Especially one that was being prescribed for 21 days.

It was strange the amount of comment threads Hitoshi found of patients explaining how it was an amazing medication for when they struggled to sleep before a serious surgery. Or how it eased all their anxiety as they prepped for their surgery. He couldn’t find much information of it being used for post surgery besides helping with itching and allergic reactions.

Even if it was prescribed for itching and anxiety, wouldn’t there be an easier and less overpowering alternative? Why would they prescribe it for 21 days when it was expected for Katsuki to get aid from a recovery quirk within a few days of being discharged? It didn't make sense. No matter how many times Hitoshi tried to spin it, there were glaring details that wouldn’t go away.

Even when he would glance down at his partner, look over his face as he slept to help ground him, it didn’t help with the underlying worry that was beginning to form in his gut. Katsuki’s pretty face, though scrunched and still wrapped in gauze and bandages, wasn’t enough to stop his mind from spiraling.

Why was the prescription written for this long before the blood test was back? It seemed a little overkill even to him who knew nothing about medicine. It wasn’t like Katsuki had any allergies or was resistant to certain medications for them to assume that such a drug would be needed.

One thing was clear to Hitoshi though, this medication was the reason Hitoshi was acting the way he was. This was the reason he was always so tired and dulled out, the constant presence of this medication was keeping a strong hold over the blonde’s cognitive ability long after the medication should have worn off. Each doze stacked up within the body until Katsuki was more a zombie than a functioning adult.

A couple of buzzes filled the room. Katsuki’s phone sat on the other night stand plugged in to charge. With an easy glance Hitoshi could see that it was Aizawa who had texted.

Finally! Hitoshi and Katsuki needed to talk to the man now that the dark haired alpha had done a crash course on medication side effects. This was all too much to just be a coincidence, and too personal to draw any comfort from.

The two trudged their way into the agency. Katsuki was barely able to construct more than a few sentences of annoyance because of how tired he was. The entire trip on the tram he was leaning his head on Shinso’s shoulder or holding on to his shirt when they walked so he could keep his eyes closed. It was very strange.

The alpha didn’t seem like he had any energy left within him, and it was only confirming the information that Hitoshi had dug up. If his theory was right, then it was because Katsuki had been taking what could be a tranquilizing dose of a sedative twice daily for days now.

Hitoshi kept a close eye on the alpha, his hand never straying far from the blonde as he kept it on his lower back to guide him. He kept their pace slower, each footstep predictable so the other wouldn’t trip. It extended the time of their journey, but Hitoshi just couldn’t force them to walk normally.

When they entered Aizawa's office, the room was dark. The blinds were drawn closed and the lights were off. It would have been spooky if the permintate smell of coffee wasn’t there to welcome them. Or the blankets, pillows, and single couch that had a makeshift nest in the corner because Hizashi demanded that every alpha needed one. Okay, nothing could make this office creepy with the amount of soft and cozy things that were strooned about to help Aizawa sleep.

Said alpha was in his office chair, blanket pulled tightly around his shoulders with his eyes closed. Unexpectedly there was a large bun of blonde hair tucked under the alpha’s chin. His mate was curled up under the alpha, phone inches from his face as he focused on something that must be interesting.

Hitoshi guided his sleep deprived partner over to the desk, giving the blonde the cushioned chair in hopes it would help him stay comfortable. Katsuki, in any other situation, would have glared at him for the feminine treatment. But this time he just sighed as he settled in; arms crossing over his chest and head falling forward.

”What’s wrong with him?” Aizawa asked. His eyes were barely opened now, no doubt he was just napping before their entrance.

Hitoshi sat in the other empty seat. “That is why we needed to meet with you as soon as you’d allow. We are concerned about a few things that have happened since our discharge from the hospital, so I wanted to run them by you before we put too many plans into place.”

A dark eyebrow raised on the older man’s face. Even Hizashi had paused in his scrolling to look over at Shinso. “And?” The beta asked.

Right, the two were probably busy with their own shit, so he shouldn’t expect much in ways of conversation from now on. “A few things. Our lab tests have not come back and Bakugo’s samples are missing.” Hitoshi started. “His eye doctor had to submit a complaint for the hospital to even update him on the matter. I too haven’t gotten my tests back, but I have usually been left on hold or told someone will call me back.

But that isn’t what has me the most concerned.” He continued. His dark eyes shifted to the blonde that was already passed out in the chair next to him. Katsuki was slouched incredibly low in the chair, his head tilted to the side with a tiny bit of drool beading at the corner of his mouth. His chest raised and fell in slow patterns that indicated just how gone he was to the world. “I think Bakugo has been given extra medication, a sedative of some kind.”

That had the older alpha perking up, his grip tightening around his mate as he focused his attention on the sleeping blonde. His dark eyes examined the blonde up and down, his dark coffee scent becoming thicker with concern.

Hitoshi continued, eyes not leaving the blonde. “From my very little research, one of the medications is typically used as a sedative to help with anxiety before a surgery. It does assist with itching, but he has to take the prescription for 21 days with a larger dose than what I could find was typical. I have a picture of the bottle if you would like it.”

Aizawa nodded, but his mate was up and out of his lap and walking over to Shinso before either could get a word out. “Send it to me now, I will look into it and contact a few people I know.” Hizashi said before turning and leaving the room just as quickly.

Shino just stared after the blonde. Not because of how close he had gotten in half a second, but because his voice was so quiet as he spoke. In Hitoshi’s entire career of knowing the couple, it was abnormal for the beta to use a soft voice in any situation.

”Shinso.” Aizawa called. He too had his voice lowered. “I think your hunch is correct. Something has been happening, and I can only conclude it has something to do with Overhaul.”

Izuku purred as he cuddled further into the new pillow he was just given. It was large, as long as his whole body with a short fuzzed cover. The pale blue was perfect for his nest, the color not too bright to become distracting when he was trying to find comfort, but it also wasn’t boring like the white pillows the hospital were lending him.

Yui had brought it to him shortly after he had returned from the garden. She seemed so excited to give it to him, and that made this already great day so much better. Her scent was all over the pillow, much like the other items that she had brought him. It was the perfect nest, the best one the omega had ever had.

The barren room didn’t bother him as much now that he knew that Yui was there to protect him. It was like his own little den, a place where he knew no one would bother him or enter without permission.

Even the alpha, Aizawa, stayed at the door when he walked Izuku back from the gardens. He seemed aware that this place was just for the omega, and didn’t even ask to enter. Izuku liked him. Even though he was a bit boring on the outside, he was full of stories from his job and admiration for his mate.

It was so interesting for Izuku. He hadn’t had any casual conversations with an alpha in so long. Aizawa sat out in the gardens with him for far longer than what the omega expected. He also didn’t seem to mind all the questions that had fallen from Izuku’s mouth like a waterfall. No matter how weird they might have sounded to the omega, Aizawa was patient and kind to him. He waited for Izuku to find the words and stumble his way through his questions with a small smile.

Ya, the omega liked the tired alpha. He had a calming ambiance around him, soothing and collected but protective too. The atmosphere the alpha created reminded Izuku so much of his dam. She was always a protective individual. Even up to the day he disappeared, she had fussed over his safety. Their departing conversation was entirely made of reiterations that the young omega needed to stay on the path home without wandering off and for him to lock the door when he got home. It was a rule for him not t answer if anyone knocked until his dam got back from work.

He wondered how she was doing after all this time, if she was safe and happy. Had she found someone to fill his spot? From what Aizawa had said, she had left the country. He couldn’t imagine her doing that, but at the same time he couldn’t imagine her staying in their home with him gone.

A knock drew him from his thoughts, the door opening before he could voice permission. “Izuku!!!” Yui sang once she was through the door. It wasn’t unusual for the Omega to just walk in without waiting for his permission. She was the only one that didn’t seem to care for his privacy or temporary territory.

“I got you another pudding cup.” She continued without acknowledging the omega. “We need to put some weight on those bones if you want to get healthy.”

Izuku smiled at her excitement. He didn’t know how she did it, but she was always able to bring him little surprises and snacks. The ability to just bring anything she wanted was surprising, especially since he was in a lock down unit. He didn’t think that many items were allowed in a patient's room, but she somehow was able to bypass the rules every day. He wouldn’t complain about it though.

The woman sat on the edge of his bed, cup and spoon in hand as she made sure not to mess up his little nest.

“How was the garden?” She asked while handing the pudding cup over to him. “You were out there for a long time, your cheeks are still rosy.”

Izuku nodded in agreement while stuffing a spoonful into his mouth. “It was nice.” He said around the blob. “You were right, I feel so much better now. I can’t wait to go out again.”

Yui’s smile faltered for a second. “Was that alpha nice to you? He gives me bad vibes.”

Izuku thought for a moment, swallowing another spoonful. “Ya, he was a bit scary at first, but he is actually very kind. He told me a lot about what I have missed since being away and even said he could get me a phone before I am discharged so I know how to use it when I leave. I’m so excited! I’ve never had a phone.”

The woman’s face completely fell, her scent dulling a little as she looked away from the omega. “Ya that’s great. I didn’t realize how much you have missed out on, but phones aren’t really that cool. Who would you call anyways?”

Izuku furrowed his eyebrows with concern. Was she sad about the idea of him leaving? “I-I could call you, right?”

The other omega’s head turned toward him quickly, her smile back as she giggled. “Of course! Why didn’t I think of that? You are so smart Izuku!” She reached up and patted him on the head. “I would love for us to be friends after you leave, but I don't want to over step since I am just your nurse.”

Izuku shook his head, appalled by what she was saying. “No! You are my first friend, Yui. I didn’t really have any growing up, and Eri is more of a sibling to me than anything. I want your friendship.”

They smiled at each other for a moment. Izuku could see the happiness in Yui’s golden eyes as a purr formed in the girl's chest. She truly was his friend, how could she not be when Izuku spent all his time with her. She obviously cared for him a lot, so it would be a surprise if they weren’t friends.

“Alright then. When you get your phone I better be in your favorites.” She said while standing up and stretching.

The omega cocked his head to the side slightly. “Favorites?”

Yui laughed. “I have so much to teach you. It’s going to be so much fun!”

And fun it was. Two days hadn’t gone by before Aizawa had brought him a phone of his own. He could only have it for a couple hours a day with Aizawa’s supervision until he was discharged from the psychiatric unit.

Yui and him were sitting out on a clover patch in the garden. The female omega’s fingers moved quickly as she showed Izuku one of her favorite games. Aizawa wasn’t too far away from the two, sitting on the bench with his arms crossed as he basked in the warm air.

Izuku laughed as he watched the little dinosaur jump and duck on the screen. Yui had said this was the best game to play because it didn’t require any internet or money. That had sold Izuku immediately, and it too became his favorite game.

“Noooo!” Yui whined as the dino hit the pterodactyl flying by. “I swear I didn’t jump.” She growled while shaking the phone a little in frustration.

Izuku’s giggle bellowed out loud as he grabbed his phone and began his turn. “My turn, I’m gonna beat your record easily this time.”

The brunette laughed back, nudging their shoulders together. “Keep saying that. I have years more experience than you.”

”Yes, but I am a quick learner.” Izuku rebuttaled back. His heart was racing as he focused on the screen, his shoulders hunched over while biting his tongue with concentration.

Gold eyes watched the omega, a curled smile on the omega’s face as she leaned even closer than needed toward the other. She loosened her scent a bit more than was necessary, making sure Izuku was breathing it in as much as possible.

It wasn’t like she didn’t like the little guy, in fact she would say that she loved him. He was adorable and feisty. She had seen him fight in the rings many times and was inspired to improve her own abilities past her quirk. Izuku was truly her muse, her obsession and lifelong passion.

It was her job to keep the little omega at her side for the plan to go smoothly. It wasn’t completely selfish of her to be acting this way since the plan was already well underway. Though that didn’t mean that she wasn’t doing it for her own gradisfaction. So it was only natural for her to find a way to ensure that he would grow attached to her as much as she was attached to him. How else was she going to keep him relying on her?

Izuku whined next to Yui, his little dino dieing far earlier than what she had set the record for. The nurse giggled at the pout that formed under freckled cheeks. “That’s okay, you’ll do better next time.” She sang, her hand ruffling green curls.  Izuku didn’t even notice the scent that she had brushed into his hair with her wrist; but his head was now covered in her scent, marking her territory in a way.

The male omega shook his head, leaning away from the touch as his pout turned into a full frown. “Don’t treat me like a child.” He nipped. “Why do you always do that?”

Yui's eyes widened in shock. “Do what?”

“You are always treating me like a pup. Saying things like I wouldn’t  understand the undertone of their meanings.” Izuku explained as he put his phone in the pocket of his white pants. “It’s annoying. I don’t need to be coddled, I know how to lose without throwing a fit.”

The nurse just stared at him for a long moment before half heartedly giggling it off. “You aren’t a pup, but you still have a lot to learn about the world, Izuku.” She tried to soothe.

Izuku pulled away completely and got to his feet before the hand that was reaching toward him could catch his shirt. “I think I want to go inside.”

Before the nurse could say anything, Aizawa was walking towards them. “Is everything okay, Midoriya?”

Izuku turned toward the man, his head lowered slightly. “Yes, I’m just getting tired. Will you take me to my room?”

Aizawa glanced at the nurse that was still sitting on the clover. Her eyes were glaring at the ground, fingers fisting the vegistation with irritation. “Of course.” The man replied, his alpha thankful for a reason to separate the two omegas.

As they walked, the omega kept his head down, hands shoved deep into his pockets.  “Would you like to go to the cafeteria with me later? I saw they have Okonomiyaki and Chicken Ramen as the specials today.”

The omega looked up, his eyes filling with giddiness at the offer. “Ya, that sounds amazing.”

Yui watched the two leave. Her eyes trained on the omega as he smiled up at the alpha. She could feel her anger rolling off her in thick waves, raging lava just below the surface and ready to erupt at the sight. That stupid alpha was getting in her way and there was nothing she could do about it.

Once the two were out of sight, she pulled her own phone out of her pocket. It wasn’t as fancy as Izuku’s; no hers was a standard flip phone that she was able to get paid minutes for years ago. She quickly clicked on the name she needed, the tone ringing in her ear as she tried to calm her pheromones.

“What Toga?” The raspy voice answered.

“We might have an issue, Shiggy.” She said, her tone flat as she tried to put together what happened. “Little omega and that alpha are acting pretty close, closer than yesterday. ”

There was a dramatic sigh on the other end. “Are you serious? Why can’t you do one thing I say correctly? This was the easiest job by far!”

Toga rolled her eyes. “You act like I haven’t done anything! I’ve still been scenting him multiple times a day. At the very least my scent is the only thing in his nest, so he is in no doubt dependent on my scent now.”

”Make sure you get that paperwork done so you can be his home nurse. We still need eyes on him, the pup’s situation hasn’t budged at all into our favor. We need to wait this out a bit longer before proceeding forward.” The dry voice explained.

“No worries Shiggy. I have Izuku wrapped around my finger. I’ll make sure he doesn’t slip away. “ She giggled. “He’s too cute anyways, I am sure he will only want me once he leaves this hell hole.”

‘Good’ was the only answer before Shigaraki hung up. Toga laid back onto the clover, her eyes looking up at the clouds as her smile widened. She could make out the shape of a little sheep in the fluffy clouds, it looked so close to how she envisioned the omega in her care. It would be delightfully devastating when Izuku found out that she wasn’t a fellow sheep, but rather a hungry wolf patiently waiting to pounce.

Aizawa and Izuku were sitting at a table in the small cafeteria later that day. The two were able to talk a bit as they waited for their food. The omega shared all about his day and the new exercises his doctor had given him to help regain some dexterity in his overly scarred hands.

It wasn’t much in the way of conversation, but Aizawa nodded and gave the omega as much attention as he could give him. The omega was still shy toward the alpha, keeping his eyes lowered and head turned slightly toward the grown. The alpha knew those habits of self preservation would take some time to grow out of, but it was still sad to watch the man in front of him be so defensive in completely normal circumstances.

Even when they were grabbing their food, the omega made sure to stay a few steps away from him, giving a wide berth of space between them. The same thing happened when they sat at one of the circular tables. The green haired man chose to sit across the table from the alpha instead in one of the seats closer to him. But that was okay, Aizawa wasn’t going to show any emotion toward that. Izuku deserved to have agency in every aspect of his life, even choosing where to sit.

The conversations kept going, Izuku asking more questions and Aizawa being more social than he ever has been in his entire life, answered them all. Between bites of his food, he watched the omega in front of him, the way he smiled as he talked while stirring the noodles before him without much thought.

Izuku had gotten a large bowl of ramen with chicken, tofu and an extra egg. Aizawa would have been surprised by the large amount of food, but now it was comforting to see. Izuku was beginning to fill out from his skinny form. His cheeks becoming more rounded instead of gont, his collarbones less noticeable while his fingers cushioned out instead of being so spidery. It was a great sight to see.

Aizawa tried to keep his chuckle to himself as he finished his food fifteen minutes later, the omega across the table finally starting on his own when he noticed. The alpha had finally been able to get Izuku to stop his excited rambling to eat. The alpha watched in amusement as Izuku scarfed down his ramen. Each bite was larger than a normal mouthful as he stuffed his cheeks as full as possible.

Their general conversation redirected into new territory when the alpha told the omega about the omega’s discharge being the next morning. He was surprised at how quickly Izuku accepted the update, his attitude happy and excited, though a little nervous.

Aizawa wasn’t allowed to disclose to Izuku where he would be going for the remainder of his recovery. That no doubt being the reason for concern, but it seemed the man was overjoyed nonetheless.

“So, will I be in a halfway house or is the plan still a safe house?” Izuku asked around another bite of food.

Aizawa shook his head. “No, you will be staying at a safe house. It will be easier to keep you safe if there aren't dozens of people coming and going in the building you are at.”

Izuku tilted his head, “So I’ll be alone?”

The alpha shook his head. “You will have two people living with you. They are older but are very good at what they do. You’ll be living in their house with your own room.” He explained without giving out too much detail. He had to be careful about how much information he disclosed out in the open. ”Don’t worry too much. They are an amazing couple, alpha and omega. We have used them a couple of times in situations similar to yours and they have proved themselves each time to be protective and caring. There will also be heroes close by at all times as well.”

The omega nodded, his shoulders relaxing a little as he continued eating. Aizawa watched, his mind consumed in the processes that would be starting within the next twelve hours. It was going to be a chaotic day with all the moving parts.

Yet, there was only one detail that he kept getting stuck on. That being Izuku's nurse. He had gotten an update within the last hour from the Commision of who Izuku’s home health nurse would be. He wasn’t happy to see Yui’s name. It was concerning to have her following them to the new location, but it wasn’t his choice. It was the Commision and Izuku’s. And it seemed that the omega was more comfortable with her than any of the other staff that had helped during his stay here.

“So, Midoriya. How are you feeling about the staff that have helped you here?” The alpha asked as nonchalant as he could be.

Izuku nodded his head, chewing quickly so he could answer the other. “Good. Everyone has been nice, even the night nurses that come in to check on me.” His green eyes crinkled as he smiled. “Yui has been amazing. I don’t know how my stay would have been without her, but I think she has helped a lot.”

The alpha swallowed hard, his alpha wanting to growl at the omega’s words. “She has been great. Are you comfortable with her, and do you think she will be good with the remainder of your progress?”

Izuku looked down at his bowl, chopsticks moving an egg around. “I don’t know. I like her a lot. She is an amazing nurse, and a great friend…”

A dark eyebrow raised. “But?” Aizawa led.

”I don’t know. I feel like I am going crazy.” He said, one hand dragging into his hair and gripping curls. “I keep thinking that she is going to demand something from me. She gives me all these things and is always nice. She scents me all the time.”

The omega sighs, falling back into the backrest of his chair as he looks up at the alpha across from him. There is concern evident in his eyes as he tries to continue. “Is it weird that I don’t like all of it? Like- like, I don’t understand why she is doing it.” He whispers. “I’m worried she will take the items back from my nest, or stop being so nice. Is this all because of- of the- where I have been? Or is this normal?” He breathes deeply, face flooding red. “I don’t understand what is happening. I barely see anyone. You and Yui and a few nurses are all I have seen. I don’t feel like this place is helping me as much as just keeping me here? Does that make sense?”

Aizawa nodded, leaning forward and resting his arms on the table around his tray. He could smell the omega’s distressed pheromones, the smell just as harsh as the emotions displayed on his face.

”You have been through a lot. It isn’t weird for you to have these thoughts or concerns.” The alpha expressed. “All of this is new to you, it sounds like you are overwhelmed. I would be surprised if you weren’t.”

Green eyes pooled with tears, his breath coming out in a slight stutter. “Really?”

”Yes.” Aizawa confirmed. “When you are settled at the safe house, you will have access to a psychiatrist. They can help you process all of this, be there in ways that me, Yui or anyone else can be able to.” He continued in a soft voice.

Izuku nodded, a tear rolling down his cheek as he looked away. His arms wrapped around himself, an obvious display to protect himself.

The alpha took a breath before continuing. “I too have had a psychiatrist, now a therapist.” He said, voice low as he leaned a bit closer. “I see my therapist every other week. You see, I have experienced some pretty awful things with my job. A lot of it is too difficult for me to understand even today and that stuff happened over a decade ago.”

Those green eyes glanced back up toward the alpha, surprise showing at what the alpha had said.

“Some things don’t go away, but we can figure out ways to live with them.” Aizawa continued. “That includes you. I am going to help you in every way that I can, Midoriya. I won’t abandon you, and I will give you everything I have until you can stand on your own two feet.”

More tears began to fall as the omega nodded, a sniffle and a hiccup accompanying the display. “Do you think I will ever be normal?”

With a sad smile the alpha shook his head. “No. There is nothing normal in this world, Midoriya. But I promise that I will help you become whole in as many ways as possible.”

The omega nodded, a frown pulling at the corner of his mouth as he seemed to think over what Aizawa had said. The two sat in silence for a few minutes, both stuck in their thoughts. He could see the gears turning in the omega’s head, something bothering him.

“Will I be able to see Shinso again?” Izuku asked. His face turned away and looked out the window.

The alpha narrowed his eyes, the question not one he thought the omega would ask him. It wasn’t something he thought would be against the rules, but he would have to make sure.

“I will see what I can do.” He answered. “If he is able to, we would have to wait until after you have settled at the safe house.”

That had a smile tugging at the omega’s mouth. “Thank you, Aizawa.”

Suprise?

Word count: 5811

Sooo…. Did I actually surprise anyone with that either reveal? Some people caught on so fast and I am not one to change the trajectory of my writings just for the sake of it. So congrats if you thought it was Toga before the reveal.

Chapter 21
